Cross

the coolest thing I've seen was a fog screen that was 1. smooth, and 2. so transparent, it seemed like wasnt there, but you could project an image on it with a basic projector

You will find that it is the same company. Just a different website. Look at the company link.

I saw this first in "Church Production Magazine". Something that looks very cool indeed. I wonder how much one costs to rent/lease/purchase... I'll have to get a quote.

Looks like some sites have it quoted as a purchase price of $125K list but that it will come way down as production increases since currently it is still considered a prototype. It looks like there is are options for renting but no prices listed. Not that I am going to rush out and get one, but it looks like there is an interactive add-on for $3K that allows interaction with the display similar to that of a touchscreen.

I can think of endless applications.... the burning bush and the Ascension are just a couple that come to mind....

looking at closer pics on the website, the "interactive" is actually a remote control held in the hand, not a bad proof in concept idea though, click link below for a large picture, look closely at the hand

which is still cool

my wife just saw it, and said we need one to rent out around here, i laughed and closed the browser

Some wmv's that are incredible to see it in full motion
http://www.fogscreen.com/video/FogScreen.wmv FogScreen Demo Video
http://www.fogscreen.com/video/InterActive.wmv Actual Use of Interactive Mode, WOW

your ideas about stage presentation is not a bad idea, i was thinking more like "coming out" of the flames (Burning Bush train of thought) or "behind/above the cloud"
