| Broadcast Quality DVR for Sermon Feed We have been running a multi-venue setup (same campus and building) for over a year and a half. We have live worship in both and then stream the sermon from one venue to the other. We have been encoding our sermons via Microsoft Expression encoder (Free) on a dedicated computer. We encode in progressive .wmv file format which allows us to playback through Windows media Player at full screen. We are typically starting the second venue 2-3 minutes after the first encoding starts in the first venue. We have had experienced a variety of issues in the past 1.5 years including the feed dropping out half was through the message (only once). We always have a backup feed from and earlier service as a backup. We are looking at a dedicated system to bring stability to the who sermon feed. I was wondering if anyone had experience with "broadcast" quality DVR. We would like to initiate the playback from the playback venue. We are in SD, but looking to move to HD this year. |
