| projector/TV help We are remodeling and I need some help with presentations. Our congregational space is 72(side to side)x44 (front to back). i figured we could go with 2 screens or 3 large flat panel TV's? I know next to nothing about this. We have one projector with a 4:3 screen at the moment. I'm tempted by the TV idea because they take up less space and less to deal with. Any advice, suggestions are welcome. We would mostly be using them for showing song lyrics, bible verse and sermon notes. We don't show a lot of videos. thanks alot everyone |

| I personally would never do a display in a space that large for two reasons. First off you are looking at a massive display that will run you into a huge budget overage. Secondly you can't just walk into Wal-Mart and buy a 52" TV and hang it up. You must use commercial LCD displays, and those cost major money.

| Yeah, I would go 16:9. Really, the projectors/screens are not all that expensive.

| 1. Use of a non-commercial display in a commercial environment voids the warranty. 2. Also it is not covered under most liability policies.

| There is more to your problem than just what to go with. With your space being what type of lighting do you have? Is the floor slope any? Need to take a look from the furtherest seat from where your wanting to plqace the TV and see if you could see the font of the text and or the movie if showing a video clip? My recommendation is to go with either a single screen with the 4 x 3 ratio or if you want to go with the wide screen as more prohjectors are becoming adtapted to the wide screen mode with a bright projector. |
