| Projecting advice We are trying to setup a projector at our church. And, get this... you won't believe it but we have a limited budget. Weird, huh? Anyway I was looking at the ViewSonic PRO8500. I am concerned though with how I am going to get the signal back to our 'media booth'. ViewSonic has two wireless options... 1. ViewSonic WPD-100 USB Wireless Adapter. 2. WPG-360. I am concerned about streaming video this way. The WPG-360 says it will stream video at 720P. Sounds too good to be true to me. Will that work? If I can't do it wirelessly how do I run the cord? It would mostly be used for powerpoint type stuff but I DO want the option of video. It would be about 80' from projector to computer. I'm only a low level geek so simple words spoken slowly would be appreciated ![]() |

That is somewhat an inherent issue with wireless systems as the actual conditions in the field and the resulting performance may differ significantly, however the overall impression is that in typical marketing fashion the WPG-360 performance noted may not only not be possible under all operating conditions but some aspects may also be mutually exclusive, e.g. even under ideal conditions you may not be able to get 1400x1050 or 1280x800 resolution and "full-motion video", whatever that is. The actual performance in any particular application may be very dependent on the specifics of that application |
