When we first started taping our services we would capture straight into iMovie with a Firewire cable, and our services last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Never had issues or glitches.

Free Windows Live Movie Maker. I've never used it, but the price is right.

With iMovie can you extract the audio as an mp3 or the like to post audio online? I'm hoping to justify another computer in our sound booth on the grounds that we will capture video and be able to use the audio from it as well to make our podcast.
