Open Domain Song Library Share

Hey everyone,
I just installed an iMac with Propresenter into our church and am now faced with the lengthy process of entering all the songs. I know the easiest/best way would probably be to just chip away at them as we sing them, but if anyone out there already has an impressive library of open domain songs (basically, hymns) and wouldn't mind sharing them... that'd be awesome!
We are a Nazarene church that uses Sing to the Lord, though many hymns cross denominations.
Thanks,
Brian

It's easiest to just let ProPresenter pull down the lyrics from SongSelect. It's built-in.

I have CCLI, but I don't have Song Select.
Otherwise, you're right! That would be easy!

Oh. I thought SongSelect was included with a CCLI license.

negative. It ads a little over a hundred dollars per year to the cost.

Still, most lyrics are just a Google search and a copy/paste away.

Actually, song select "basic" for just lyrics is only $46 per year.

And at $46 per year, that is a no-brainer. Even if you only value your time at minimum wage, that pays for itself if it saves you 7 hours in a year of hunting for lyrics or typing them in yourself.

By the value my wife and children place on my time, it pays for itself in about 5 minutes.

Cost of Song Select depends on the size of your church (membership or average attendance, can't remember which), as well as the level of service (lyrics only, chord charts, lead sheet, full sheet music)

But it really is the best way to go, especially if you are using software that interfaces with it directly.

It also lets you know if the lyrics you are projecting are covered by your CCLI license. Not all lyrics, not even all Christian lyrics, are.

unless you guys are primarily singing out of the Sing to the Lord Hymn Book, get the basica license required for song select. Its well worth it. We just started using ProP at our Church (also a Naz) and it makes life so much easier. Within a minute I can have 1 or 2 songs downloaded into ProPresenter (depending on the internet connection....)

So you can either buy the license and be finished your service playlist in about 10 minutes (thats how long it takes me), or waste about 5 hours trying to find the song lyrics or retype it from the hymn book....

Well that being said....ProP does have a sample package that has I think 40 songs or something, maybe there is something in there....
