ProProsenter Video Out Of Sync

Hi Guys

Not posted for a while. Just been really busy.

Anyway I have noticed on our ProPresenter 4 setup that when any video file is initially played, the audio and video are out of sync from each other.

We then have to play the whole video through and then replay it for the audio and video to eventually sync.

Now I noticed that we were running a 256 MB PCIe card but PP4 website recommends a minimum of a 512 MB card. So one of our media team went out and bought a decent 1 GB card.

I am hoping this card solves the issue but I would like to hear from anyone with similar issues and how they solved it.

Regards

I seem to recall that there was a bug in one of the earlier versions of PP4. Make sure you're on the latest update as well and that should resolve your issue.

Hi There

Have the latest version and now it's crashing constantly.

Seems to be getting worse instead of better.

If you're using a PC, I'd double-check for viruses, spyware, etc. PP is pretty processor intensive, so something messing with it might screw up your install. You could also try a clean install or a video that worked a few months ago just to make sure it's not encoding.

+1 on what Paul said. PP support would tell you to do an uninstall then a clean install to see if that clears it. Whenever I've had a problem with PP that I couldn't resolve (pretty rare) I did what PP recommended and that took care of the issue.

If that doesn't take care of the issue double-check that you have the latest K-Lite codec pack as well as the latest video card drivers and Direct X.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the advice.

Checked for viruses / malware and all OK
Checked HDD via chkdsk / Sea Tools and all OK
Checked memory via Memtest and all OK
Ran Windows sfc /scannow and all OK
Installed new 1 GB GPU with latest drivers

Will look into the actual encoding etc and await reply from the PP people.

Will post outcome here so that it might help someone else.

Thanks again.
