so i am a part of a chrisitan club in my college and I wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions on where i could get our flyers printed cheaply(we are all students) in color. We usually have to print around 150 flyers weekly and I was wondering if anybody here has any suggestions, ideas or thoughts on how we could do this efficiently. Should i just go to staples and get it done? or should i have it printed professionaly. we need color flyers but they dont have to be extremely professional quality. i design the flyers, we just need a place to get it printed.
Typically when I need flyers for myself or friends, I have a a cheap inkjet printer that I set up with a continuous ink-flow system so that I wouldn't have to keep buying cartridges. My total investment was less than $200 and I can print 5 to 6 times more pages than using cartridges alone. Every time I refil my system I save about $250 to $300 in what I would have paid for in the cost of ink cartridges based on the volume of output that I get.
Short of abusing the photocopier at work, there is no cheaper way to do it.

We use a small local printshop for all of our colour printing (we have a black & white multifunction in the office). We've found that they are far cheaper than Staples and other large-chain printshops and are a key reason why we haven't bothered to upgrade to a colour machine in the office yet, it just doesn't make financial sense yet.
I would suggest going through the local yellow pages and looking for smaller printshops. If you're doing regular jobs with them, they may be more than happy to give you a great rate to keep your business. I just bring our electronic files into the shop on a thumb drive and often they can do my print job on the spot! We've printed up posters, postcards, event tickets and other items for us that look amazing and totally professional.
I wouldn't recommending doing it yourself in color. Laser printed (or inkjet) flyers are EXPENSIVE.
Here's your best bet: find ANY offset printer online and do about 2000 flyers on card stock. Get them C1S (color on one side), and only gloss coated on one side. Make the color side something that is branded with your logo and basic event info.
On the back side (black, not-glossy) run it through your laser printer. Keep it black and white.
This way, you have a catchy and colorful card to pass out, but can change it week to week. Many online shops sell 2000 color postcards, one-sided, for under $100. You can't beat that.
You only have 2 weeks left to take advantage of our industry leading 19 cents per page for color printing. This is less than half the price of any national retailer. In fact, if you do find a lower price during the remainder of this offer, we'll beat it by 10%.
We're doing this to introduce new companies and customers to the quality and convenience of Mimeo. Ordering is as simple as 1.2.3.
1. Create a Free Account at the site for MIMEO.com
2. Upload a PDF file or Print Directly from any program
3. Select your binding options, proof and tell us where you would like your order sent
You just can't beat sircooper.com. I've outsourced most of our printing. It's easy and cheaper than I can do it in house. Right now color copies are 18 cents and they are extremely quick.
You could even get two (8.5x5.5) flyers per sheet if you can squeeze them landscape. Then print black & white on the backside yourself.
I use Sircooper and have been very satisfied.
