Prayer Pledge Cards

Hi,

Does anyone have any examples of prayer pledge cards, or any ideas for one?

Thanks in advance,

Andi V.

While I think you I understand what it is you want, what exactly is a "Prayer Pledge" card.

I just finished a prayer request card for the Women's Bible Study on Tuesday mornings. Name, Date, lines to write on, a scripture, the name of the group, and the logo image.

The premise behind the prayer pledge card is for the members of the church to take the card and offer a pledge to pray for our church, pastor, specific ministries, the country, etc on a set day each month of the year. We thought aligning it with the day of the month of their actual birthday would help to serve as a reminder to them to pray on that day each month....so for instance, my birthday is the 26th of July, so each month on the 26th I'd pray for whatever I pledged to pray for.

DebC....I love your concept. Would it be possible to send it to me as an editable file? I haven't renewed my Pro Membership yet (I do intend to, but finances are severely budgeted at the moment so will be a few more weeks before I can), so not sure if I can get it if it is uploaded here on site.

Thanks in advance,

Andi V.

All right, the quick and dirty answer is that {some} of the illustration used as the background is a stock photo that I don't have the rights to share or upload in it's original form. And further complicating it is that some of the text and all of the lines are done in Publisher, not in Photoshop.

So tell me which parts you like, and I'll send you what remains and you can determine if that's helpful at all.

P.S. I'm sure that if I spent enough time, bought a book or three and/or signed up for a class, I could do everything in Photoshop and InDesign ... but I just haven't had the time to learn InDesign at all - so I make do with Photoshop/Publisher combinations. Publisher can be a BEAR at colors, tho.

Well, let's see now....I like the swirls in the background. I'd really need probably like hands clasped together and maybe a cross as the image. I think I'm gonna just have to take a few more minutes out of my busy schedule and just get it done...lots on my plate so will probably have to hibernate to do it

Swirl brushes you can find for free from Obsidian Dawn, BSilvia, and Jason Gaylor. All three of them also have grunge brushes, some vectors, and some lovely foliage, too. I believe the ones I used in this one were both Jason's and BSilvia. But it's been months since I did the core background on that logo image. I'm sure it was one of these three. I have all their brushes!

Can you tell I love them? ::gush::

You can find free stock photos from the usual sources, and there are some silhouettes and other trendy things there, as well as some clasped hands.
