Wow, that's all very strange. I'm running it on a machine built specifically for our video (2.53Ghz, 1mb ram, 120mb hd, etc.) and I'm not finding any of those problems. The only thing that I've ever seen is a little bit of hesitation between computer and projected image on rare occasion. I love the ability to split our screens up (we have three and want to split two of them) with one piece of software.

Not to nit pick, but yesterday I posted several messages, each a problem I had run into with Presentation Manager. Imagine my surprise when I look today and they have been merged into 1 message and it says that I did the editing........ Also, I would look for other software, but we are not built with cash and this is the one we have, since Creative Lifestyles won't give a refund, what chooice do we have? Ny favorite not is that I can't remove it from a machine where it was installed!! Their uninstall fails (sigh)

If you'd like some options, there are free alternatives that many are happy with. Check Free For Churches pages with Free worship software.

I've heard the most about OpenSong, but I've also heard good things about XionWorx. I've also heard that ScreenMonkey is a good additional product to use to play DVDs full screen on the second monitor, if your main worship software (or PPT) won't.

Good luck.

And the merged posts are a feature that came with the last upgrade of the bulletin board software that Tim, our benevolent dictator decided to implement.

Any PM Users Still Here?

Before I launch into a discussion, I'd like to find out if there are any PM users who are willing to share their experiences and wisdom. The PM forum is dead, so there's no help there.

At my new (to me) church I'm moving into the video control position, and PM is the software I'm inheriting. I've watched the videos and read the manual, but there are still some bugs (I think) and confusion on my part.

I stopped using it back in 2007 and switched to SongBeamer which has been working great for us. If there is no support for it I would suggest you add an item in the budget to allow you to get something more reliable and current.
Good Luck

Yes, I get the definite impression that PM is no longer a popular program.

However, in fairness, I should report quick responses by Frank Meyer (developer?) to my emails. In addition to providing tips, he confirmed a bug I reported and said it would be corrected in the next release... unfortunately not promised before the end of the year.

Anybody else using SongBeamer? Looks interesting, will d/l the trial. We're using SundayPlus which seems to be a dead program/company and need to be able to run videos, flash files, etc. through the software.
