| Hey, Our church is using PM on two different systems. We are running PM 5 on our projection system and use it to create and display announcement loops, song lyrics, sermon notes, and scripture. Recently we added PM Pro to our broadcast set-up and key text & scripture into our broadcast video with it. Early on it was buggy but I have been pleased with the later releases of version 5 and PM Pro has been even better. There are only a couple of PM users on CMN. Terry |

| The website for Presentation Manager: http://www.presentationmgr.com/. It's among the many worship software packages I've tried. I like the way you can group sections of a presentation together under named tabs, the way MS and others do with collapsible sections. We project the entire service and follow a fairly set order week to week based on the Lutheran liturgy, so there are groups of slides. One thing I don't like about using tabs is that it means the presentation scrolls horizontally instead of vertically. PM also lets you build slides of many elements like in Powerpoint, instead of being restricted to background graphic + foreground object. It even supports PNG graphics with transparency, which Powerpoint does, but a lot of worship software doesn't. All in all, it looks like a good program. |

The latest version of PM, PM Pro allows the control panel to be configured as you choose. I have not tried to move the sequence bar vertical as you mentioned but I did notice that I can adjust the tabs to top, bottom, left or right, so from this I would assume you could make the sequence vertical if you desired. | We use PM Pro and run 2 projectors and can run different slide shows on each at the same time which comes in handy. To my knowledge and after speaking with some media instructors PM Pro is the only church media program on the market that will do that. We are still working with it and learning new aspects, we hope to utilize the video recording features in time when finances allow the purchase of the equipment. |

| I'm seriously considering PM - it's down to Easy Worship and PM... I'm having a hard time creating things as easily as I want in PM, and that's the big hold-up: It's not as straight forward as I would like. But it's great on the presentation side. Anyone have any experience with it being used on a network, with multiple people accessing the same presentation? Any safeguards there for an accidental save-over-someone-else's-work? |

The caller currently also does the audio recording in the same room as the worship pc op and the switcher operator for the IMAG...let's just say the switching is already pretty complex, and now we want to run three screens (imag center, with lyrics/sermons in two languages linked to the outer screens, and MAYBE an occasional one wide screen or three of the same screen-it's the leaderships idea, and we're running with it slowly but steadily). Anything to take one less person, or make someone's job any easier, is a welcome addition at this point. Last edited by kbob; Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008 at 07:43 PM. |
