Prayer for HELP!!!

I've been doing the sound and computer thing in our church for about 2yrs. I'm pretty much the only guy doing it. Other than another guy who does video, but he's only there Wednesday night on Sundays I do everything. I've asked for help in our church, but with no one stepping up to the plate every week gets tougher. I will not quit, but it just gets to be a bit much at times. What can I say to people in my church to let them know I'm needing some help and a could use a break. Thanks

I and many here on CMN feel your pain. It took a while before I got other people involved. One way to encourage it (and to give yourself a breather to avoid burn out) is to take a week off from church. If they want it done, someone will have to step up to cover that week. Give them plenty of time to find someone, but say which week you'll be gone and stick to it.

Each of us has faced your feelings. We tire and need rest. We have doubt
that our contributions are noticed or even appreciated. We wonder if we could
be paid staff instead of volunteers, or paid more if already staff. Our earthly
rewards may be few, but riches await us in heaven. Keep movin' on and know
you are not alone.
