Powerpoint 2007 & Easy Worship

For our services, we import the sermon Powerpoint into Easy Worship, just like lots of you do. We're in the process of upgrading to Office 2007 Pro. I'm sure some of you already know what I'm going to ask. I keep a copy of Easy Worship on my personal computer just for occasions like this, to make sure everything works before upgrading the presentation computer.

I did notice that, after upgrading Office, when I opened EZW, the PPT icon was no longer there. I figured this was due to performing the upgrade, so I of course installed Powerpoint Viewer (from the File menu). I noticed it was Powerpoint Viewer '97. Is that the latest version available, or is it the only version compatible with EZW?

The problem is, the PPT slides won't appear in EZW. I was smart enough to go to the Easy Worship knowledge base FAQ that addresses this issue, and I followed the directions exactly. No luck. I can select the presentation and it acts like it loads, it just doesn't actually build the slides. Any suggestions?

Mal

Perhaps posting this at midnight was a mistake. Is anyone using Powerpoint 2007 with Easyworship successfully?

Thanks Joel. That was the first thing I tried. I'm still stumped.

I just called Easy Worship tech support. They said EZW doesn't currently work with PPT 2007. They are testing a fix right now and hope to have it available in the next few weeks. The solution for now is to simply save your slide show as PPT 2003. Duh! Should have thought of that myself.

I find it strange tho, that they provide the solution on their website referred to by Joel above. That would imply that you can make PPT 2007 work with EZW. However, when you call them, they tell you it doesn't actually work. Their FAQ is misleading.
