Mass email and video embed

Are any of you guys aware of a free service which i can use to send out mass emails that are personalized.

and secondly, What is the best way to send out an email with a video embeded in it or at least a preview. I am using gmail now and i was wondering if there was a way to either have a youtube video directly embeded or at least have a preview in the email...

thanks

check with your web host, if you have one. Many linux-based hosts offer a number of programs you can use, all installable under an umbrella called "Fantastico". I use one called PHPList, which is also downloadable and installable on your own linux-based website, if your host doesn't already provide it.

As far as I know, video can't be embedded into an email - just attached, or linked to some other place on the internet. That's usually what you see when someone sends you a video: the actual file is "out there somewhere". If you use youtube, there is a link below the videos (accessed by clicking on "more share options") specifically for emails.

for the video thing - what you have to remember is that everyone's email viewing is different... some web-based, others use a program like outlook or something. Some support html, some don't, some people don't accept html for security, some support having images in the email, and some don't. Your best bet is gonna be to send a link.
