| Send out something everyday to about 60 people. Ended up getting a Blackberry to do it, partially because I wanted one the other reasons were with an app (beyond160) you can split the txt into how many it takes and you are not limited to 160 characters . Beyond 160 was about $6. I like it better because my phone is always with me but I'm not always around a computer. with the blackberry you can set up groups and text to that group. michael |

| I am developing our new church site that will send out mass text updates. I opted to send via the email associated with each cell provider. You need to know which provider each person is on. I've uploaded a sql file with the email for most providers. The email will be in the form of: Get the file here: http://dewknight.com/m/sms-database.sql |

| I kniow this is old but thought I would add in case anyone looks at it in the future. I just send it from my email. Set up all the addresses in a group and send to group. Text messaging is really SMS (short message service) So all you need is thier cell number and their provider. I found a website that gives lots of detail and a list of the providers http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/email-to-sms/ |
