RSS Feed - example? Does anyone have an example XML file (sermons) that they would be willing to share with me? I'm especially interested in seeing how you've implemented the iTunes related tags. I've spent a lot of time on rss-specifications . com and finally have a very basic XML file that will work on our website. It would be helpful for me to look at another church's XML file, to see what tags I should include. And, how do the iTunes tags compare with the regular tags? For example, do you use the same item description in both places. Are there recommended limits on the number of items to include in the file? For example if I only list the past 3 months in the RSS feed, one would still be able to play/download one from 6 months ago, by going to the website. Should I code the item <pubDate> with the date I added the item, or encode it with the date/time of the service? The MP3 might not show up until a week or so after the service date. If you could send me a working example, I would really appreciate it. Just send me a PM for my email address. TIA, Bill

http://www.bluespringsnazarene.org/fb-feed.xml I use FeedEditor to make the edits. Much easier than doing it by hand.

While I realize a feed editor will make it easier to create (and I'll probably use one) - I still wanted to look at the underlying data and see how church's are filling in the various fields. For example, I learned that you have a dedicated email address for your feeds. I like the idea - I hadn't thought about the email address yet. I also see that your church uses the same <itunes:keywords> for each item. I *thought* I'd have to come up with different keywords for each week and come up with unique data for the old sermons. Thanks again - Bill
