Thanks. The quality of audio recording is NOT my fault. Not sure what happened on some of those but I'm now 3 hours away and don't have any input on the recording. I can't take credit for the look of the site either, it's from www.christiantemplatesonline.com. I love Joomla and doubt I would ever use anything else! Good luck with your site, I'd be happy to help where I can.

LeAnn

Know this thread is a wee bit old but was curious what player you had been using LeAnn B. We are currently using AllVideo and have to do a little bit to get the audio on the page. I have just completed a bash script to completely automate the creation and upload of mp3s to the site. Being to get them to automatically pop up on the site too would be fantastic

I ended up using the player from Sermon.net. It wasn't the best solution but all I could come up with at the time. The site is offline right now but once I put it back up I'll probably use the Joomla Bible Study component.

Ok. I had looked into that for podcasting. What we have to do to add the audio to the page is minimal but finding some way to do it automatically would be fantastic. Back to google I go

Thumbs up You might try JoomlaBibleStudy

Saw this thread as I was researching for the channel embed code for users of Sermon.net.

There is a Joomla solution for putting media files on church websites. I've been one of the developers of BibleStudy.

Check it out by searching for Joomla Bible Study or going to the main Joomla extension site (I can't post urls here yet)

I just recently found this plugin called MP3 Browser which does exactly what I needed it too. All the person has to do is upload the mp3 to the server and it appears on the site.

I'm a dedicated BibleStudies user...
check out www.gallowayumc.org and click on "Sermon Archives" for an example of what BibleStudies is able to do on your site.

As far as podcasting goes, checkout out Galloway UMC on iTunes or visit our XML files:

I do have to say thank you Leann for posting about MP3 browser. That is exactly what we have been looking for. A little tweaking and I think we will have it setup exactly how we want it. Simple and awesome.
