| Or, you can sublet the job to a free service, like Podomatic. For years I was hosting our church's (and one other) site on a server at the house, so for higher bandwidth needs, I outsourced our podcasting and pic gallery. If you have a giant audience and require high bandwidth, or just want nice stats (I'm fine with the standard they give you), then you can pay for a PRO membership. Here's our page: Alexandria FMC. For reasons I won't go into, we haven't been recording our sermons lately (that'll change soon!). This is just example of what FREE gets ya. The resources listed above in previous posts are great, but bandwidth was my concern. Since I've moved the sites to a webhost, I might be looking to podcast in-house soon. Good Luck! |

| Google RS feeds and you should find something helpful. Also, I highly recommend the book, Podcast Solutions, The Complete Guide to Podcasting by Michael Geoghegan and Dan Klass. This is an A-Z explanation which covers the iTunes process in great detail. Available on Amazon. This really helped me get started. We're close to putting up a video podcast now . Also, checkout Libsyn.com - this service pulls your Mp3 file together and bundles it with the Rss file for distribution - very user friendly. You pay for the data you upload - not what's downloaded. They also give you stats on downloads, subscribers, etc. |

| If we used podomatic to host our podcasts would we be able to have the links on our website to allow people to subscribe. Basically would we be able to get podcasts integrated into our website: http://wvfc.co.uk/index.html Thanks |

| We just posted our first podcasts this week. All I did was edit the sermon in Audacity and then follow the instructions on the Apple website. I copied their example feed and just changed all the appropriate sections. The instructions explained all of the sections and also showed the correct way to enter things like ampersands and quotation marks. I worked out pretty well for us. ML You can check out our podcast here: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=275229130 ![]() P.S. The music for the intro & extro is a freebie from Digital Juice! | We use www.sermonshare.com to do all of our podcasts. We record the sermon and upload it to their site. They then do what is needed to podcast it. We had to register with iTunes, that took a couple of days to complete. They have a few different levels of service the lowest one is free. They also have few different players that you can embed to your website so you can listen to the sermons from our website. You can see our example at: http://www.nhagonline.com/index.php?...d=53&Itemid=63 ~Mike |
