Using filters to make a Water drop worship Background

In this tutorial, were going to create this image using just the filters in Photoshop.

1. Open a New Document: Open > New > Blank File

2. Set-up Your Image:
• Under name type: Water Drop
• Under preset select 1024x768 (or your own)
• Under color mode select: RGB
• Under Background select: Transparent
• Click OK

3. Hit the letter “D” on your keyboard to make sure you have your default colors
(Black and White) selected.

4. Go to Filters > Render > Clouds

5. Go to Filters > Blur > Radial Blur

6. Set the following Settings:

7. Go to Filters > Sketch > Bas Relief

8. Use the following Settings:

9. Go to Filters > Sketch > Chrome:

10. Use the following setting:

11. Hit ctrl + U (windows) or Apple key + U (Mac) to bring up the Hue/ Saturation Window. Click Colorize and use the following Settings:

12. Voila. You’re Done.

13. Now save your psd file so you can use it later and save it to your hard drive as a jpeg to use in worship.

Is the Render Clouds what you used to start the background in your "Lord of all Creation" graphic?

Maybe you could do a space gas tutorial, if you have time.

I'm looking for something like that as a background for "In the beginning was the Word..." so I can animate key words an phrases as the passage is being read.

It took a long time to do. Not even sure if I remember how I did it. I still have the psd and I have reposted the image here.

For me Dry Brush at 10, 0, 3 works a bit better than Bas Relief.

That's what's so cool about PS... there are 10 different ways to achieve the desired effect.
