Recommended Rez for Full Screen Projection?

I just started doing the video presentations at my new church, and I see the supplied backgrounds in Presentation Manager are either 1024x768 or 1280x1024.

When I scale pix from my camera in GIMP, I can change width/height, X rez/Y rez, and type of Interpolation (None, Linear, Cubic, and Sinc).

What are your recommended settings for images to serve as backgrounds on 8'x6' (guesstimate) screens?

Yup. Go with the native resolution of your projector for everything you send to it.

Thanks, guys. I have three projectors; hope they're all the same!

If not, use the biggest resolution of the projectors if they are audience seen screens. If it is the confidence monitor projector, it's not as big a deal. Most worship software will allow you to scale the image (stretch, zoom, etc.) I know Easyworship will resize the image by itself (even if it is 3000px+ image or video, it will just take a tad longer to cue it up).

The only issue is if you are not natively running a widescreen 16:9 or 16:10 setup and you have issues with letterboxing when media is displayed.
