Time-Lapse on a Rebel xti

Would like to try some automated time-lapse on a Rebel xti. Canon doesn't make what's called an "intervalometer" for the Rebel. Know of any third-party makers? This is a digital shutter release controller that allows you to set interval times for extended time-lapse photography. Any other suggestions?

Take a look at DSLR Remote Pro. I use this for my event photography, and it has a time lapse option. Also, the EOS Utility software might be able to handle time lapse as well, but I haven't used that much.

Thanks for the lead. Laptop isn't an available option for me. But I did just find an obscure solution if anyone else is in this same dilemma. The Canon TC-80N3 is a palm-size controller that does just what I want - it just doesn't have a stereo miniplug connector required for the Rebel. Found mention of a Gerald Wechselberger in Austria who sells an adapter - in lieu of attempting a splice job on a new piece of equipment.

Received the converter from Austria seven days after I ordered through PayPal. The Canon Rebel 400xTi and TC-80N3 now work great together thanks to Mr. Wechselberger's converter:

It might be more than you want to spend but a Pocket Wizard MultiMax has a intervalometer in it. I've used my PWs to do time lapse stuff.
