Yell New -- Photography Forums!

As requested, I have opened new forums for Photography.

[aside] As I was spell checking this post I was reminded of something from my childhood. I used to be really good at making clay models. I haven't tried in years. Anyway, my Science Fair project in 9th grade was "The Era of Photography". On the display I depicted each type of photography with clay models -- from early cameras to VHS camcorders. The clay models really caught your attention and I won first place. Then I went to the regional science fair in Phoenix, where I won second place. On the van ride back from Phoenix my Science teacher had a perplexed look on her face. She noticed that at the top of my display I had written in marker "The Era of Photogaphy". No one had ever noticed until then. The misspelling probably cost me the blue ribbon, but we had a good laugh. What brought this up? When I spell checked this post I had misspelled photography the same way! LOL Some things never change. [/aside]

Start your posting!

Enjoy!

Thanks. I tried to post in the Photos and Assignments forums, but I get a "You must Go Pro to view these forums" message.

Just start a new thread in each sub forum and that message will go away forever. It's not really a proper message.

Just an idea...could we maybe make the same thing except for videography? With monthly assignments/contests, an area where we can ask for opinions/critique people's work, link back to your site to show what you have made, etc.

EDIT: Just noticed a video production ideas forum. Maybe that could turn into it.

Hey thanks for starting this. I've been out of the country recently so haven't been on here at all.

Like the website, if you don't mind my asking what software or service are you using for the resales?
I like the format and I'm trying different things out myself right now.
Good Luck in your endeavor!

I actually use smugmug to host my website and pictures. I really like them. You can do sales from them also if you have a pro account. I have a pro account, but I use a different lab to print my pictures. I use WHCC and Millers.
