Countdown Creator in Windows 7 (help).

Countdown creator is not working in Windows 7 . Does anyone else have Windows 7 and running countdown creator? When I try to select a video or background it gives me a runtime error and crashes the program. Any advice you could offer would be great. Countdown creator never answers their support emails. I think it is a church in Louisville who's ministry team created it.

I run countdown creator in Windows 7 but cannot output to MPEG but everything else seems to work fine.Have you tried the compatibilty troubleshooter?

Not sure what you mean by compatibility troubleshooter. It says that it is only for Vista and XP on the website. I downloaded vcredist_x86.exe which allowed the program to at least open. It wouldn't open before that. Now when it is open it will give me a runtime error when I try to open a background or video. Is there anyone who has Windows 7 and everything on countdown creator is working fine on your system? If so then I know that I have to add a plugin or something. I emailed them to get a fresh download as I do not have the most recent version. I changed computers and I couldn't find the most recent version. I only had the original one I first got from them. They seem to always take forever to reply and in some cases of questions that I have had regarding not outputting mpeg or mov - never got an answer. Hopefully I will get a reply this time. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Windows 7 has a compatibility troubleshooter that sometimes allows programs to work. Go to the start menu and go to countdown creator and right click on the program. In the drop down that opens there will be a choice for compaatiibility troubleshooter, Run that and it will give you a couple of choices. May or may not work but you can give it a try.

I found my version 2 of countdown creator. I did try the compatibility troubleshooter (which is way cool and thanks for telling me about it!) but that didn't fix it. It seems as if version 1 won't work on Windows 7 but version 2 is working just fine. Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know where you can buy or try countdown creator? Their webpage says "download coming soon"
