Thermal Printer

Can anyone recommend either a specific product or a website with several options that have good thermal printers. Thermal with a duplicator is also an option.

Exactly. I can't even think of an application where thermal paper would be desirable. What are you using the printer for?

How else would you put the church logo on thermal underwear?

Although, why they'd need that in Georgia is beyond me.

She did mention duplicator, so I'm guessing she means a thermal disc printer.....

I don't have any experience with any particular models. I am seeing several models search google, and I know this site sells them: http://www.discmakers.com/duplicator...rs/thermal.asp

If you have a particular model in mind, I'd recommend pricing it at provantage.com - I buy most of our printing supplies and printers though them because they often have the best prices online.

I've had decent success with the Bravo II inkjet duplicator / printer from Primera, I'm sure they have a thermal printer: http://www.primera.com/

i'm sorry, i should have been more clear. Right now we are using a very entry level label printer. I'd rather print right to the disc and got approval to buy the equipment. I don't want to get ahead of myself and buy something that wont end up working. I've been doing a bit of research on the difference between inkjet and thermal disc printers. The thermal printers look like they cost more, but in the long run would be most beneficial cost wise. Plus they duplicate which would also speed up the process. Anyone have any input on inkjet vs thermal?
