Video Intermediate and Archival Storage

What do you guys use for editing/scratch storage and archival storage?

I quickly realized how limited we are by just not having enough storage this past weekend. With 4 performances of our christmas program, I had to end up pulling a drive out of my server at home just to hold all that uncompressed video.

I was thinking about doing a 500gb OS, 2TB capture, 2TB scratch, 2 TB render on my workstation. And then doing a 4 TB archive NAS to hold all of our media (multi-track audio, compressed videos of services, mission trip media, etc.)

Three 1TB drives in a RAID0 configuration on our Mac Pro as our primary video scratch. (formatted fresh each week.)

1TB Caldigit external USB3 drive for transport from capture to edit system.

Compress and upload to Vimeo.com for archival.

Several Western Digital external 1TB drives where we store various funny clips/bloopers for annual Pastor Appreciation service.

We have the same. 3x1tb RAID0 in a mac pro. But we dump everything onto a drobo pro for archive. The drobo went bands a couple of months ago and died. They replaced it within 1 day and all data was intact. Lovely.

Since everything is still SD, we're taking an analog Program feed, converting to 1394, and straight into our Adobe system via capture in Premiere. Storage is on WD Black Caviar 1TB drives. One folder for every weekend. Media, Premiere Pro project and Encore Project all live in that folder. One drive lasts about 3½ months or so. Then on to the next drive!
