Sony Vegas 9 cannot remove Chroma Key

I have short video with two different clips. The first clip is chroma keyed perfectly. The second clip (completely separate clip and not connected to the first) is shot on the same keyed background but I do not want to apply a chroma key and the background is now black (in preview)and over all video quality is terrible. If I pull the video clip in the trimmer, it looks fine. Any ideas?

Without seeing how you did it, it's tough to say - But it sounds like you applied the chroma key to the whole track, rather than just the specific clip. To test this, create a new video track and drag the offending clip onto it.

That was it. I finally figured that out. Now to find a better green screen and lighting!
