YouTube Video and Easy Worship

Hey all. Is there a way to play a YouTube video via Easy Worship?

Any immediate help would be greatly appreciated.

The quick answer is no. EZW does not support direct connection with Youtube (yet).

Do a search on YouTube Grabbers or Converters etc. here on CMN and also Google.

you will find several ways to save the video to your local computer. I have done this with success.

Save it as a WMV file

over at download.com found several

Another possibility is to contact the owner of the video. Perhaps they have a higher quality / resolution copy?

I have used zamzar.com to convert the files to MPG with decent success. You just past in the URL and they will email you the file in a hour or so.

Contacting the owner for a higher quality file is the best option IMHO. Most youtube files pretty much stink in quality to make small file size. It may also help to clear up some legal and copyright stuff as well. (I really question the legality of alot of youtube content...)

We have shown a few YouTube videos during service live from the web, but have learned that it is best to make sure we preplay it first so that we don't depend on the web connection during the actual playback. I, too, suggest the download from the owner so that it will integrate with SSP.

Thanks for all the great feedback as I am still kinda new to all of this.

Made contact w/ owner and rec'ed high resolution version; however, it is good to know about the grabbers, etc.

We should be set for Sunrise.

Until next time - HAVE AN AWESOME DAY EVERYBODY
