Did you know YouTube has a high quality setting?

I just ran across this, and went to try it out. It actually seems to work. If you add &fmt=18 or &fmt=6 to the url of a YouTube video it will show in higher quality.

You learn somethin new every day!

Coolness! I'll have to share that in my YouTube class at the convention. Thanks!

Hmmm.. it didn't work for me. But then again, most of what I watch on YouTube are live music perfomances from the 70's so it probably couldn't get much clearer or higher quality.

It usually only works with videos that have been uploaded recently. I read somewhere else that this is just like a test, soon YouTube will automatically make it higher quality, so you don't have to type in the code.

Cool Thanks for the tip. This comes at just the right time as I have a youtube video to run in Church service coming up and I wasn't happy with what I was getting.

This doesn't work.

All I got was higher-resolution views of the same low-quality videos
