Hi Aaron. i'm moving this tread over to the software forum to get the right eyes on it.

I usually look fresh every time I need to do something like that. I have heard good things about Handbrake, but don't have much experience with it.

The VOB files on a DVD are MPG files, so I usually ust find the right VOB file in the Video_TS directory, copy it to the hard drive and change the extension to .mpg and play it that way.

I use "Fair Use" and "Handbrake" the most. I've used VideoDub on occasion and there are lots others. The first 2 i would say are the easiest to use. Although easy is so relative.
