Beside that, everyone faces temptation. Being "staff" doesn't make someone impervious to sexual temptation, gambling, or other nonsense easily found on internet. It's amazing how, though someone has been Christians for decades, they still fight the same old fights, and new ones are popping up daily. The key here is not to "catch" someone, or even to stop someone, but to let them know we're doing what we can to prevent unwise and inappropriate use o God's resources.

I think, as the employer, it is part of our responsibility to help prevent these sort of behaviors, and help correct them quickly and wisely, otherwise we have to fire people.

We have that problem now. We have a computer in just about every room of every building in our facilities because the pastor wants to bring everyone on staff into the 21st century. The flip side is that in some cases people are falling into the traps and temptations which is affecting their work performance. And it's not necessarily gambling or sex but it is the viral videos that are causing some of the employees to develop internet addiction.

If you have a spare pc laying around, you can look into Astaro. The site is www.astaro.org

It should do everything you want it to and you can set up exceptions for certain computers. You get set up an admin report to be emailed nightly and you can verify the information being blocked by the content filter. By teh way... It's free!

Add me to those who like OpenDNS.
It's easy and does a good job of preventing problems.

Of course I agree with you on that, which is why I suggested OpenDNS. It blocks objectionable sites that you set it to block and the Pastor can focus on prayer and ministry of the Word instead of looking over everyone's shoulders.
