| Access Database Issue Hello All, I use an Access database to keep up with church Attendance. Last Sunday when I tried to open it. It would not open and gave me an error message about two machines trying to change a file at once and just took me to the opening screen when you open access. I tried to compact and repair and it still does the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dustin |

| In the directory where you have your Access database see if there's a file that's named the same name as the database name but with a lck extension. If no one is in the database at that point delete out the lock file and you should be able to get back in. |

| I second Brian's suggestion. In older versions of Access it may have an LDB extension. Which version of Access are you using? Thanks - Shaun

| There is no other file like that in the folder. I even moved the DB to another computer and it still gives me the same error. I have tried importing in to a new access file and that does not work. Please help if you can! Thanks Dustin |
