| Judging from "whois", it's just a nameserver problem. Someone would have had to have hacked their GoDaddy account to change the nameservers -- not their site itself. It could just be a GoDaddy fluke. But changing the nameservers back to whatever they are supposed to be should take them out of "parked" mode and point it back to whatever server they use. If you ping midnightoilproductions.com you get the IP address 68.178.232.100 and when you visit it you get a page that says "site not available". It's definitely a "pointing" problem. Their site itself if probably still safe and sound. (Yippie! I finally have 15 posts and can post URLs now!) |

| Its back online. I talked to the owner so I know it was a hacking issue. They parked it to fix the problem.

I haven't heard of a site being actually hacked in a while (not a linux-based site, away). I hope they share some details. DDOS attacks happen more often than actually breaking into a system. Time to upgrade (or install?) a firewall! ![]() |

I hope you don't mind my suggestions in the post above ^^^^. Some DNS services can actually detect when your server is down and redirect the name to a different IP address until it's back up. That way you have a backup page (or site). |
