Line 6 kb37

Hello,

I have recently started to get into recording so I have been on the market for a MIDI controller. I'm extremely new to this so my knowledge of everything is very little. I am an electric guitar player for my church and I've been playing through a small cheap pedal board, but I'm a poor college kid and I'm unable to purchase the pedals I would want, until I found the Line 6 kb37.

I like the idea of having the guitar sounds I would want, along with a midi controller for other sounds, because I would like to start playing some background loops and other sequences for worship, compose, and score for film.

So my question's are, would the kb37 work for me? Would i be able to use it live on stage for guitar effects? Does the kb37 have other sounds other than guitar, like synth, drums, etc.? If not where could I find that software?

Also I am running a Macbook with 10.6.4 snow leopard. Thank you!
