Shure SLX or Sennheiser EW300 are the tried and true long term performers at my church. We are buying two channels of Line Six mics for our Kids Church to try out. No opinion yet but it sounds like it should be good.

We have used line 6 mics for our vocals for several months now. We really like them. We are using the older XDR955, however the new ones (XD-V30 and XD-V70) look like they are a worthwhile improvement.
The biggest problem with the XDR955 is the handling noise, which is supposed to be improved with the new ones. Also, I think the new version's pattern is more directional. I have noticed they pick up a little more ambient noise than the old SM58's we were using. Especially on the keyboard player. We dont use floor monitors, so this isnt much of an issue. However, I walked right in front of a speaker recently, TRYING to make it feed back, and it wouldnt.
The built in antenna distribution in the XD-V stuff is nice also.

We just got our first two Line 6 XD-V70 mics and I played with one today. Pretty impressive for a $500 set. They are well built and sound good. The handheld feels good in your hand. I'm a little worried about the battery compartment lasting. After you unscrew the bottom of the case tt has a kind of thin door that you have to open to change batteries. Handling noise is about the same as our Shure UR handhelds. They are also capsule compatible with Shure wireless. They model about 8 different mics including a SM58, Beta 58, Sen E835, Audix OM5, etc. Haven't tested enough yet to know how much of a difference it makes.

We have bodypacks coming for both but they haven't showed up yet. The bodypacks are mic compatible with Shure.

We bought them because the room we are going to use them in is directly next to our main sanctuary and didn't want any chance of radio interference or to have to coordinate.

These mics are a good deal for one or two and a great deal for 12. They come with everything you need to rack mount them and they daisy chain together for antennas so there is no extra $ or space required for antenna distribution. It does mean that you will have up to 12 (fairly small) wall wart power supplies to get plugged in.
