So, looks like only Pat is using a LDC. Still trying to figure out when I should think about digging out that MXL 2001...

BTW, our instrumentation is piano/synth, bass, drums and occasional acoustic guitar, violin, harp, and hand drums. Mains have voices, synth and the occasional strings; all else is for the other mixes.

This isn't the mic package for any one church, but these are what we take out to churches as part of our standard mic kit on rentals.

1x AKG C535 (one for now, but will add a few more)
5 x AKG D5
2 x AKG C5
3 x EV PL36
2 x Audix F15
2 x Shure Beta 57
3 x Shure SM57
6 x Shure SM58
3 x Sennheiser 835
2 x EV N/D 357
Audix D6
Shure MX393

And probably a handful of others I can't remember off the top of my head.

It helps that we have a pretty quiet stage... Everyone is on Avioms, and really the only thing on the stage that makes noise is the drums. I can only get away with the large diaphragm condensers on the drum overhead or right in front of the guitar amp(which is usually back stage anyway) Or - sometimes I use them on the acoustic guitar if there's no drums for a particular week...

I currently work for National Community Church in Washington DC and we've got 7 locations and a total of about 2000 weekly attendees. Typically most of the locations have the same gear but there are a few variances here and there where we picked up other gear or tried new things. Also, there have been a few different technical directors and everyone decided to get their favorite things when we launched a new location. But here's our typical list of mics:

Kick = Shure Beta 52a, Audix D6
Snare = Shure SM57, Audio Technica ATM650
Hats = Shure PG81, Shure SM81
Toms = Shure SM57, Shure Beta 56, Audio Technica ATM650, Audix D2
Overheads = Shure PG81, Shure SM81, Shure SM27, Shure KSM 27
Guitars = Shure SM57, Audio Technica ATM6650, Sennheiser e609, Avalon U5 (for acoustic)
Vocals = Shure SM58, Shure Beta 58
Speaking = Sennheiser wireless e835's e865's, e935's, Countryman E6's

I think we may have the largest assortment of DI boxes I've ever seen. Everything ... lol Behringer, Samson, Livewire, Rapco, Horizon, Whirlwind, Tech 21, Pro Co, Radial, Avalon, and a few others... of course my favorites are the Avalon U5's and the Radials

Four KSM105s will pick up a heck of a lot of stage and room noise. Unless everyone is on IEMs, I have my doubts. (Even if they are on IEMs, I'd want to try it before spending all that money.)
