| Are you sure it's feedback? Or could it be clipping (over modulation) and a problem with the sensitivity being set to high? You'll probably need to adjust the transmitter sensitivity factory preset down to -20db or -30db. I've found on my new G2's I have to set the transmitter sensitivity to -20db for spoken word applications or they'll clip easily (you might also have to adjust the receiver's audio output...pg. 33). See pages 32-33 in the Sennheiser Evolution PDF User Guide for setting transmitter sensitivity. If you have a G2 100-500 Evolution series the transmitter sensitivity should set pretty much the same way. To learn how to navigate the transmitter operating menu see pages 25-26 in the PDF guide. Do you know about if it is necessary to apply some specific Dynamics to get a well response for this applications (condenser omni headworn). Thanks in advance for the posts ![]() |

| frequency response Quote:
The sensitivity is already adjusted to -30dB and AFOut (output gain) to 0dB, no problems with that. Inserting a Graph EQ through mic's channel i've made the maverlous of no feedbacks, but the frequency response was widely killed. And pastors got a limited mobility field... If you turn on your TV you can see others preachers using the same mic, with a perfect frequency response and extreme mobility. It has to be something else i am not setting well on the system or the mixer. |

| i did a layout but i still cant post images. please visit: www . ccivinonuevo . org /images/layoutVN.jpg Blue: PA Speakers Green: Stage Monitors Red: Pastor Gray: Fellowship This is our house of worship, 300ppl , on the other hand, at novembre we'll be moving to a bigger one... diferent shape, more like a rectangle... but designed with curves and others acoustic treatments. Thanks for your help |

| yes, but with floor monitors turned off is still hard to equalize. like i told before, i have to "kill" a lot of freq's to destroy multiple feedbacks and the freq response loses too many quality. Do u think that inserting dynamics (gate/comp) can help to solve the problem? Any experience inserting dyn's to headworn condenser mic's? |
| ||||
| No, dynamics processing such as a gate will help. A compressor will reduce the peaks if your pastor is a very dynamic speaker, but will do nothing for feedback. You don't have the pastors bodypack and another handheld on the same frequency, do you? The only other thing I can think of is that being dead center between two loudspeakers, if they are 12" or less LF drivers, anything below, say 800Hz could be causing the trouble. |

| I was just thinking that if your feedback seems to be in the lower frequencies that you could hi pass the channel up to about 150 before you would notice any difference in your frequency response and then use a parametric eq to tame some of the other squeels.
