hey, I need your help, I have 3 Canon XL1 cameras, 3 LEITCH TBCs model DFS30002N and 2 Panasonic WJ5500 and WJ5600 switchers, I would thank you a lot if you could tell me if I should buy a Tektronics SPJ170A sync generator to connect everything and make everything work well. Because I bought the cameras and all the stuff and I dont know how to connect them. Do I need anything else besides the sync generator to make them work? Also if you have any instructions or tips to do it please tell me. Hope you understood, I'm new in this and I would appreciate a lot if you can help me.

    Wayne,
I noticed in one of your posts that you mention you are in the Dallas Metroplex. We have just redesigned our light layout and would like to get a few gel frames to see what difference it will make. We have Source 4 ellipsoidals at 28 and 19 degree.
I'd be glad to explain to you what we have done and see what you think. None of us have any training so, being the most technical, I did some reading on the web on McCandless theory and used that as a guide.

Do you know of anywhere in ther North Dallas area I could pick up a few gel frames and some extensions if needed along with the Gels? Also what color gels would you recommend.

    Thanks
    Thom

Can you help with some issues with separate x and Lyricue???? Please I warn you I am a complete noobe but I do know sudo pretty well and have been creating my own xorg.conf file but I am not sure if it is going to work. Hope you don't mind the personal message but I have been working on this for a couple of months now and I believe I am getting close. If you can help I will fill you in on all of the details plus some of the messages from Chris, one of the authors of Lyricue, pretty nice guy but using Fiesty I think and some of the entries are outdated ie: font paths etc. So if you can help let me know. Thank you and be Blessed

    Regards

    Keith
