I use planningcenteronline.com recently. We are trying to get our order of service to look a little different. Closely to how you have yours. Would you mind sending me the code from your Order of Service so i can try to learn how you did it.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Howdie,

I'm Lisa. First off you should know I'm young and I have a zillion questions. The past few years I made up my mind that I would be a counselor, because I love people. However, in just this past year I have been so drawn to media ministry. My parents have pushed me to start offering my services as a graphic designer outside of church, and I've done a lot of freelance work for school clubs and small organizations. I have two years before I go off to college, and I've always pictured myself going to a bible college and getting a degree in counseling. However, I'm now wondering if God led me to that picture, or if I came up with this idea myself. I've just become so drawn to the media field. I love learning new things, and that seems to be what it's all about.

I couldn't help but be drawn to you for some answers. I've been home sick this week, and I've spent hours on CMN reading forums, and I've read a lot of what you've written. It sounds to me like you may have the job I'm looking for. Words cannot express how enthusiastic and drawn I am towards this ministry.

So, if this question isn't too impossible: How can I end up with a job like yours?

I have so many questions, and I would be so pleased to receive your thoughts/answer on this one.

    Hey Dustin,

We've an attendance of approx 375 each Sunday. Our youth group uses media, too, although I don't generally do most of it, that's mostly about time. We're always looking for someone with the right mix of tech and art to help them. Our children's church uses it, but even to a lesser extent.

Media is a priority and a value at our church primarily because of the vision of our Pastor - who knows that to sustain interest in today's society, especially with progressively younger generations, we need to reach them at the level they are used to, and that's through sight and sound.

I'm still learning ... and while I'm several generations removed from the kids in High School and College (I'm a grandma of a toddler and a baby!) I study and practice to sharpen my skills and be able to create relevant media for all ages.

If you're near Fresno, CA anytime, just give us a jingle here at the church and I'll give you the cook's tour!

    Hello,
My name is Dustin and i am just wondering how big your church is to support that kind of media effort. How much tech support do you have to do? Do your Youth use media and are you in charge of that too?

    Thanks Dustin
