It looks like we may be getting some fresh blood in the "media ministry" arena. A couple of the teens who have been button pushers in the past volunteered to learn how to actually create the slide shows for Sunday, since I am going to be gone a couple of weeks later this Summer. All it took was about 15 minutes and they were asking "can we do this?" and "How do we make it look like this?". I was really surprised not only how quickly they grasped even the more complex...

One of my favorite time-wasters on the computer is to go to a blogspot blog and then just keep hitting the "next blog" button until I find something interesting. Out of this exercise (which I've been doing a lot of the last few days due to illness) I have discovered a couple of interesting (?) things.

It's all a bit downhill after that, you know, but I'm still thankful for a lot of things. God has truly been good to me throughout my life and I sometimes take it too much for granted. So, thank you, Lord, for all you've given to me.
Just finished a big Thanksgiving dinner with all the traditional stuff. It was just our family this year. We didn't go to relatives like we usually do and all the singles and elderly...

As church was starting this morning we had one of our worship singers out of town, one singer MIA and the second guitarist also not in evidence. As we were starting the first song the missing guitarist snuck in the back and plugged in before the second verse. The late singer (who stands about 6' 7" and is built large) tried to slip discreetly into place during the last verse, but between his size and the fact that he just isn't exactly a stealthy sort, the level of discretion he was aiming...
