Hi. Thanks for visiting. Here's a little background on me...
I began working in the radio/television broadcast field right out of high school... so I have (gulp) over 30 years of experience in audio/video/lighting.
Throughout my time in the television broadcast world I have worked on both in-studio (news & entertainment programs) to events such as sports broadcasts, the Olympics, hockey (six Stanley Cup series), football, auto racing, concerts, etc. I worked for many years as part of a mobile TV truck crew, and even owned my own production truck for several years.
I now regularly use these talents and experience (and give the glory to God for these gifts)... by working as the Technical Ministry Coordinator for St. Albert Alliance Church near Edmonton, Alberta.
In that capacity I have the responsibility for training volunteers in each of these areas as well as handling the technical details for this very active contemporary church. I also do live sound and stage manage for our Sunday services in rotation with our volunteers.
I also have a full time job... as a senior systems designer for a very large engineering firm. In this capacity I design and recommend systems for audiovisual, IT and communication, security, and theatrical lighting. Our firm does work in many sectors so I have been involved in projects that range from outdoor and indoor theaters, to mass transit, college/universities, hospitals and court houses.
I travel extensively and have shot video/photos internationally for various NGO projects and I am currently working on a two-part documentary shot in HD.
