Why is the sound awful on my video in mediashout, but everywhere else plays fine

I made a Sermon Stinger using textography in After Effects and it plays fine on several computers through quicktime player or vlc, but through mediashout the audio is poor quality, there's cracks and pops and the volume wavers in and out favoring certain spots specifically.

From After Effects (made with Photoshop and illustrator files), its rendered as an h.264 file; 1024x768 size; best quality; resolution full; 29.97 frame rate

audio settings: 44.100 kHz / Stereo

I dunno.. I've been told that they've had this problem for a while. I've installed all the k-lite stuff too. Is there something in its settings I can change or something?

Thanks

What version and fix level are you at? I ran into a similar issue a few years back after upgrading to the latest fix packs. The sound sounded great through VLC, Windows Media Player and others but sounded terrible through MS. I ended up rolling back the latest fix pack to a previous version and it resolved the issue.
