I wonder if he's got a nasty slowing the whole machine down?

I'd download and run malwarebytes (free version) and see what it finds.

And download and run ccleaner (also free) to get rid of extra files and clean out the registry.

Then do a defrag on the hard drive.

Oh I see, as in media you mean the background picture behind the scriptures and songs.. I'm not too sure I'll see on Sunday I'm pretty sure I know how to navigate to the file being the picture.

The computer is not my computer and I don't think I have even thought about even installing those programs(on my PC I do use CCleaner, as well as Auslogics BoostSpeed, Malwarebytes, Dr. Virus, and ATF-Cleaner). I don't think the computer is slugged down due to any viruses or malware or worms or trojans, anything of that nature. I'm very familiar with computers and I build them and know about whats going on in current technology, I think the computer operates as it should, but honestly thanks though for the suggestions any pin points may help! You did remind me of the CCleaner and Malwarebytes, I'll try installing it at the computer in church and I'll see where to go from there.

Thank you everyone so much, I really appreciate every bit of help from everyone so far!

I am very appreciative of the info in this thread. Thanks to everyone - you are very dedicated people. Is there a way for me to 'print' this thread?

Still no gain, I saw the background images when doing slides.. If I remember correctly it was a 800x600 .JPG or JPEG file(forgot how the abbreviation is). The file size was really small so I don't think it is that.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.. The software that was posted for me to install on the church computer, I did CCleaner and it cleaned it up some, but still no benefit. =/

Just a long shot, but what level is your DirectX at. Without looking up the specs, it seems as though you have a fairly recent video card (its a discreet card, correct?). Google the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

You also may want to see if your video drivers are up to date or if you can find issues with a given level of driver.

I'd probably open a dialog on the Media Shout support forums and see if they can help you better tune or help find the issue.

It's DirectX 11.. Okay I'll check it out on MediaShout forums. Thank you everyone for all you've done and all the answers! Anything else appreciated! Thanks.

How many viewer windows do you have open? I recall having a similar problem with MediaShout by having 4 viewer windows open in the control screen, I cut it down to 2 and the problem disappeared. We are currently running Ver4.5 on a laptop with a dual core, 2 GB ram a discrete video card and 750 GB Hard drive using motion backgrounds with no lag in display of lyrics or scripture, we even play video from dvd with no problem.
