| My husband and I are involved in a brand new church plant in our area. We need a very simple logo, but I have no experience and hope that someone can point me in the right direction. The name of the church is Harvest Baptist Church and we are hoping to find a simple logo with perhaps wheat and maybe a cross. We don't want anything complicated or detailed, just something recognizable and something that we can use on everything. We were thinking a tan/dark yellow for the wheat and for the lettering we want to stay in a darker tone of blue. Our budget is $0. I have no skills or knowledge in this area. Any ideas what we can do or where we can go? |

| Thank you so much...they all look great, but the one that seems to be most popular is KeckCreative's logo on the bottom right. We especially love the way that "Harvest Baptist Church" is written - love the font and spacing and wouldn't change it at all. The wheat above it is too dark for us, and we wanted to know if it would be possible (and I hate to ask after all the work everyone has done) to try it with the wheat in KeckCreative's first logo, and then perhaps one with the wheat on both sides? I am so thankful for people who are willing to help us out.....it's a real blessing! |

| I like D the way the wheat arcs to the right, drawing the eye along to read the text. I think the wheat arcing to the right creates some tension in the eye as you try to read the text. I do see your comment about the centipedes. This may be even more true in a b/w version. But I think I still like D. My $.02US ![]() But I really like the way you laid out the options for him.

| Joel... I think your right about possible visual tension in F. I initially saw it as a cycle... eye reads the text and then arcs back with the grain to the beginning again. I think when the grains are missing the stem they starts looking like centipedes. Not so much in smaller versions, but the bigger it is the more pronounced. So another possibility is to just flip the grain on F to arc to the right. The possibilities seem almost endless. I had more versions in my head, but decided to stop at 8 (LOL).

| Thank you so much!! We really appreciate it! So many wonderful choices! Now, since I'm such a newbie in this area, if we use one of these and we wanted to make it black and white for our temporary stationery, can I do that with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0? I am awed by the kindness here, and I know our church family will be thrilled with these choices! What is proper protocol from here? As I said previously, I can't pay anyone.....but would be happy to refer business inquiries to KeckCreative if that is allowed. I just feel so blessed! God has been moving in a tremendous way since we started on this road, and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your kindness! |

| I do this kind of thing as a hobby and as a service to my church, which was a new plant itself just last year (we have our first anniversary Sunday, Nov. 7). If you'll let me know which version you want to use, I will send you a full logo workup (gray scale, 2-color, 3-color, full-color in high resolution and/or scaleable vector art). All of it pro bono. Consider it my gift to your new church. I've sent you a private message via this forum with direct contact information. The attached file to the forum was in PNG format and you should be able to easily convert it to gray scale in Photoshop Elements. The resolution of the file is not set very high (72 dpi).

| Just wanted to update and let you know that we haven't fully made a decision. A family member of one of our members had been working on a logo, and so we have been waiting on them to produce it and a decision to be made. If that doesn't work out soon, we will pick one of these and I will contact you - I hope your offer still stands. If not, I will be back to the drawing board which will be okay too. Thank you again for doing these for us! |
