@airhill - any thoughts on the last in the series, 27 "Sacrifice and Blessing"? Where's your pastor planning to go with it?

Gene, I talked to our pastor yesterday. He said he is going to be talking about sacrifices like Christ on the cross, what parents sacrifice for their children and compare that to blesses of things like home, health, family, enough food to eat - anything that is a blessing. I have no idea what could be done with it. It's a toughy. Thanks for all your ideas, creativity and sharing. We really appreciate it.

Hello Gene! I'm back!! We are deep in our series of being stuck - and next week is being stuck in Unholy Habits. Can you give me any suggestions of subtle or metaphoric pictures - I'm sure I can find the "in your face" pictures of unholy habits, but I wanted something that people would have to think a little about.

No - I used the guy in chains that you did for me - for the 1st week - someone else has done last week and this week - and I do next week slides - I like that picture - The sermon title is "Freedom from Unholy Habits"

Me again! For Advent we are doing Christmas Presence - with a play on words - we're going to have a big Christmas Present.

Do you have anything that would be a present tied up with a bow, but with light streaming out of the box from all sides?

Here's a simple take on the idea:

Gene - you are the best! So here's my next question - I had a motion background with a burning candle - but I wanted to fade in and out the names of the people who have passed away over the year (for this weekend's All Saints Day) - we use Powerpoint (I know - we're starting to learn Easy Worship) - but when I click to bring in the name - the background "flicker" stops - is there a way around that?

I'm not sure if there's a way to do that (video background with text) or not. I haven't used Powerpoint in a couple of years. EasyWorship might be able to. If I were doing it, I'd use Adobe Premiere (or maybe Windows Movie Maker since that's free) to make a video of it and just play that.
