The Stoning of Stephen

Pastor is preaching about The Stoning of Stephen. I'd like to find a picture i can have on the screen during the sermon that will enhance the service. At first I thought to find a picture of a hand gripping a rock but couldn't find any. I found one of a man in sandals picking up a rock. You can do a "stoning" search on fotolia or istock. I like it but it needs something more. Some type of overlay or maybe a quote. I'm at a loss.

I saw the same photos on stock.xpert (the commercial side of stock.xchng). I think a more powerful image would be along the lines of your first thought -- a hand gripping a rock. Do you have a title from the pastor? Sometimes that can provide additional insight and ideas.

I'll ask him what the title is. I'll see about taking the picture of the hand gripping the stone myself. Now to find a rock buried in the snow.

Ooo...I like that one from creativemyk. The other could work rotated left 90 degrees, and give you an idea for composing your own picture.

I sent a note to the artist on DeviantART. Rotated and with the verse, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” It's rather striking. If I don't get approval I'll work with the creativemyk picture. I added the verse to the rock cross and put it at the top. I'm afraid I'm not very artistic. I can mimic but not much more.

I don't know how you could do it but Scripture talks about Saul being the one who authorized the stonning of Stephen...it would be cool if you could show the cloaks being thown down by someone's feet. On a side note I found this image on Wikimedia (means you can use it)....
