Need help with a graphic

Hi, I need help with a graphic. The graphic I'm thinking of is the letters NMC with a cross behind it on a shield. Can someone help me out?

For a logo (i.e., something that would be printed on stationery, signs, projected on screen, etc,.), or just an on-screen graphic? The former would be something that would look OK in B&W or a single color.

Gene, it's for a logo. Wouldn't that be too much of one color?

Regarding logos and colors/treatments, there's a nice little description and examples on the Already Been Chewed blog.

I've attached a very basic logo to make sure I understand what you're describing. Various treatments (e.g., grunge, shiny metal, 3D, etc.) could be applied, but it should still work in B&W.

Is there a way that you can take away the text from inside the shield and send it to me as a jpeg where I can modify it? I think I have another idea for the shield. Thank you so much.
