CMN Local Chapters/Calendar Features

Just when you thought this new forum software couldn't get any better! I've added several user groups for the local chapters that have been active. You can view all of the groups and their leaders HERE. If you would like to add your group to the list, let me know in this thread.

To join a group, just click "join group" in the group memberships section of your control panel.

The calendar here is VERY advanced. I've set up a calendar just for you to add your local meeting information. Click here to see it. I've also added a calendar JUST for other training events (Digital Storytellers, T3, etc.). You can jump from calendar to calendar using the "calendar jump" menu.

I'm really excited about this feature! It should make setting up and advertising meetings a breeze. I'll be tweaking it as we go along.

Is there a way a local group coordinator can contact everyone that has joined the group at one time?

Nothing in the Chicago area, huh? Oh well...

Fortunately, there are some great churches here that do conferences & such. (Granger Community Church in South Bend, IN, comes to mind.)

Is there anybody on here from the Northwest Indiana or Chicagoland area? I'd love to try to get something together, if possible. Not that we're doing anything special... Far from it! Odds are good that I'd be the one doing most of the learning...

There are tons of people up your way...I know because I keep inviting anyone with Illinois in their address to the St Louis Group, and they keep saying that they are from up by Chicago...too far to come to our group.

Is there any interest around the coastal NC, SC area? I live just outside of Wilmington, NC. The last conference I attended was EYE MAX in Rocky Mount (abt 1.5 hr drive).
