I've never had a problem using adapter cables, provided that the computer's mains ground was lifted. Note that a PC is the ONLY thing I'll ever allow anyone to lift the ground on. But if you want to get a DI, I'd get one of these: http://audiopile.net/products/DI_Box...cutsheet.shtml http://www.radialeng.com/re-proav2.htm

The DI boxes made for PC use are very handy, but it is worth noting that they are not different except for the jacks and package. They are DI boxes. I am not saying don't buy them. I am just saying that if you already have a good quality DI box and an adapter cable, you will have the same performance but less convenience. Frank

Stereo DI Tim posted the best DI... The usual DI people think about will only do one side of the signal, which means you would require 2 DI boxes. It's better to simply use a stereo DI. We usually use them for Keys, Organs and the like. I personally have a cable that's 1/8 inch TRS to Dual RCA and plug directly into the sound board via 2 inputs.

One DI and a proper summing cable, or a stereo DI (two DIs in one box), or a multimedia DI that has a summing ckt in it. Frank (Seller of DI boxes) |

QSC has an interesting alternative (alternate wiring). Anyone tried this before? http://forum.qscaudio.com/forum/view...php?f=8&t=2697 (See Quasi-Balanced Interconnections)
