Will this work?!?!?

So I had no clue where to post this thread its a little of everything.

Ok, soo im about to drop some money on some equipment I think would be awesome for worship. Im just not sure if it will all work out.

I included a simple diagram of what I want to do.

The mic will be routed to the midi converter to be able to control synth sounds with vocals. Same with the guitar, but I also want to use the guitar as I regularly do.

Thanks

First off you are mixing different level gear together into a device that is not meant to accept them. Trust me the end product will be nothing like you think it will be.

What is your motivation for this setup?

Do you not have enough channels at your sound mixer?

There is also nothing in those devices to convert analog signal to MIDI control data.

pdc the Sonuus g2m is the device that converts. It is designed to take guitar outputs and convert it to midi signal.

What do you mean I normally play my guitar through those pedals to my amp.

The other stuff (midi) will be played through the synthesizer the goes to a PA. How we normally would plug in a keyboard. I could use a directbox before going to the PA.

Why would I need more channels at the mixer. I have plenty of channels Im routing the mic in there so I can control a synth with my vocals. (Same with the guitar)

Microphone doesn't have a preamp. Unless you're micing an explosion, you won't hear much.

Very true. However, a cigar step-up transformer (or a DI run backwards, same basic transformer) would probably do the trick. That's been used successfully for ages to run a low-Z mic into a high-Z input. A transistor preamp would be better, but the step-up transformer should work too.

Or just use a high-Z mic, but good luck finding one of those these days.

So does this mean the xlr to 1/4 would be fine to run that mic. We usually run the mics straight into the snake which goes to the mixer and out anyways no preamps.

Ha ha Im a worship leader not a sound guy so when you say a cigar step-up transformer (or a DI run backwards, same basic transformer) does that mean the little silver adapter that has an xlr and 1/4 inch jack lol Should I run a trs cable from that adapter or does it matter

I know that the G2M was in the pic, but the point remains, it will not work for voice. The company is working on new math and a new app that will work with voice.

If this guy bought a little Presonus I/O, used Studio One on his laptop, he could route everything through his I/O, and via a plug-in in Studio One convert any audio source to MIDI.
