Church in St. Louis Seeking a Technical Director

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will lead a team-based, creative process to engineer and facilitate the audio, visual and media needs of the church.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, train and develop a team of staff and volunteers to meet the audio, visual and media needs of all church ministry activities.
Design and implement progressive and engaging technology to creatively and effectively communicate the thematic elements for all worship services.
Maintain, repair and archive a thorough inventory of current media equipment.
Direct and produce dynamic and professional video projects.
Synchronize real-time activities such as live cameras, lighting cues, and projection for a cohesive worship experience.
Research new industry methods and purchase technology which improves the department's ability and efficiency to meet ministry needs.
Prepare and upload weekly media content onto church's website.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Candidate needs to be a creative, positive team player, proactive, critical thinker with strong communication skills.

Be motivated to organize personnel, prioritize tasks and schedules to accomplish large projects in a fast paced, high expectation environment.

Should have a thorough knowledge of and 2 – 3 years experience with: Pro Tools, Cubase and other DAW platforms, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier or other video editing software, Video cameras, video switchers and IMAG technology, Zero88 lighting control, lighting technology and Coemar intelligent lighting fixtures, Digital (Yamaha M7CLV3) and analog (Soundcraft) soundboards, strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a member of St. John Church or a willingness to join.
